Champs 2025 Info, LOTS AND LOTS
Hi Cuda Families,
If your swimmer/s are NOT ATTENDING Champs, please confirm by completing this Google form: https://forms.gle/xKQvgPZSu1KYVZHcA by Friday, June 27.
If your swimmer is REGISTERED to ATTEND Champs:
- If your swimmer/s register for Champs, your family will sign up for a job (hosting team will send us the list, we will post on TeamUnify, like the other jobs for you sign up; if you don’t signup, you will be assigned.
- If your swimmer can not suddenly attend, you are responsible for finding a replacement.
- If you or your swimmer fails to attend, and you did not find your own replacement, your Champs check will be cashed.
- If your swimmer is registered and does not attend, this affects the entire team's scores and improvement points.

End of Season Slideshow Social, Job Signup
In preparation for Champs, please sign up to bring a drink, snack or dessert to the end of the season slideshow! This is volunteer/donation only for all our swimmers to enjoy. No points. All leftovers go to Champs (which the kids love as well) [see separate email].
- Job will open Monday, June 23–7:30 am
- Job will close Friday, June 27–7:30 pm

Details
July 10, 6-7 pm End of the year treats, swimmer parade and slide show at the Cabana Clubhouse
- This is a social event to celebrate our swimmers throughout the entire season.
- Swimmers will parade the deck of the pool to start off the night. Swimmers should wear their team shirt (preferable) or other Cuda Apparel.
- Swimmer Slide show will be viewed inside the clubhouse
- Senior swimmers will be recognized.
- Please sign up to bring treats for the swimmers!
July 11, Swimmer Breakfast directly after practice.
- Breakfast will be provided to all swimmers after their last practice.
- NO Rally tonight
- End of the Season Family Survey opens today, July 11 and closes Sunday July 13 for current families.
July 12, Champs Swim Meet, see below and After Champs Celebration
July 13 End of the Season AWARDS at the Cabana grass area.
Cuda Leadership and our coaches will be handing out trophies, awards and honors to close out the season. It’s a happy, yet sad time as we won’t see everyone again for many months! Cake will be provided. Bring your own beverage. Chairs will be set up, but you may want to bring your own, just in case.

Champs is where ALL 6 cabana clubs (parents, swimmers and spectators–LOTS of people) compete together. It will be the same structure as dual meets:
- Time Frame: 7am to 5-ish pm
- Location: Independence High School, 617 N Jackson Ave. 95133
- Prepare like any other meet
- Volunteers NEED TO CHECK IN AT BOOTH (unless stated to check in with Julie)
- No swimmer check in
- IMPORTANT Note: Independence is a school campus–there is absolutely NO drinking of alcoholic beverages on the school campus.
- Champs is a closed deck: Closed deck means no parents allowed on deck!

Parking
- Both school parking lots off North Jackson will be open.
- Street parking on North Jackson or Mabury is allowed.
- Do NOT park in the lot off Education Park Drive: 617 N Jackson Ave. 95133
Tent City
Families will gather in the assigned Creekside area of Tent City (Map to come soon) on the basketball courts at Independence High School.
Pool Deck Access
The pool deck will BE CLOSED to families.
Families will NOT be allowed to tent or gather for any length of time in the cement stands; there isn’t enough room. Families can watch their swimmers swim and then return to tent city.
The pool deck will BE OPEN to:
- swimmers,
- adults with the correct wristband,
- senior swimmer families for the senior swim only, senior swimmer family members can identify themselves to the Marshalls at the two deck entry points at TBA am. You will be allowed on deck to watch the senior swim during the National Anthem.
- volunteers with pool deck shifts.
Restricted Areas
- No popups, umbrellas, chairs etc in the stands
- No popups, chairs etc in the area in front of the gym
- Do NOT park in the designated area for food trucks
Food
- it’s suggested to bring food, drinks and snacks that you want
- Cudas will have a snack table at our tent city. Cuda Cafe will bring extra drinks and snacks from the season, but there is not an abundance. If you’d like to bring food or snacks to share, please leave them at the snack table.

- there is absolutely NO drinking of alcoholic beverages on the school campus
After Champs
Join us back at the pool for pizza and/or “bring your own dinner” and share season stories, 7ish.
