2025 Swin-a-Thon
Hey Cuda Families!
Due to construction and pool availability, we had to reschedule our annual Swim-a-Thon. This year, the Swim-a-Thon will be held on the mornings of May 3rd and May 4th. Swimming will start at 8:00 and end at 11:45, to prepare for the pool to open for rec swim at 12:00. During rec swim, the lap lane will also be available if swimmers would like to use that as well.
Jennie, our Fundraising Coordinator will send out information to collect your pledges through the 99 Pledges platform. Swimmers can collect flat pledges, or have people pledge a rate per lap (most opt for the flat pledge). This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, and we’re hoping for full participation! If each swimmer can collect a minimum of $150, we should be able to reach our goal!
How it Works:
-
Kids swim as many laps as they can!
-
An ADULT must keep track of all laps swam on a lap counter sheet (available at the pool)
-
Sheets turned in at the end of the event (they DO NOT go home)
-
-
One length of the pool equals 1 lap.
-
Swimmers may use kick boards, snorkels and fins.
-
There will be special prizes awarded at the end of the season awards ceremony for most laps swam, and most donations earned: 8U, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18
-
All equipment must be returned to the shed and cleaned up at the end of each day (11:45)
Reminders:
-
Sunscreen - should be applied 10-15 minutes prior to entering the water
-
Water! Stay hydrated! No glass inside the pool area, plastic bottles only
-
Share the pool. All swimmers are welcome in all lanes.
-
Have fun!
