Hi Cuda Families!
Saturday, May 11 is a home meet at Creekside Cabana called Time Trials, which is a meet, against ourselves, at which swimmers swim every stroke (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and/or butterfly) that they are able to swim. This will give the coaches a baseline time for your swimmer in each stroke.
First step for EVERY meet is to declare your swimmer/s. You must declare by the Monday before the Saturday meet: How to Video (this video is from the past [email looks different but process is the same inside Team Unify).
–Coach Catalina and her coaching staff may change swimmer events based on swimmer progress.
–If you are traveling, so you will need to plan to arrive ON TIME (so important!).
– Swimmers must check in at the gate prior to coming inside the cabana: no check in, no swim
Arrival :
Gates open at 6:45/7 am to set up your spot on the grass. Please respect the door opening time of 7 am.
The pool area availability still needs to be considered: please SHARE popup tents .
Bathrooms:
May be available, but we have the porta potty and wash station.
PARENTS :
–If you are working a job, please be on time and listen for announcements.
–You should be receiving email and text message reminders about your jobs with dates and times.
–If you are a timer or recorder , complete your entire shift before leaving the area. Please do not leave your seats and do not leave when doing a change from 25s to 50s. Ask the head timer for assistance, if you need a break.
CUDA Swimmer REMINDERS:
–Check in!!! 7 am. ARRIVE ON TIME.
–Coaches would like all swimmers to wear their team suit: if you do not have a team suit , please wear a black suit.
–Swimmers need to wear team caps and goggles.
–Families and swimmers should wear Cuda gear to show your spirit!

7:00-7:45 am Swimmer Check-in
7:30-7:45 10 & Under age group warm-up
7:45-8 11 & Up age group warm-up
7:45 am Swimmer check-in tables CLOSE!
8:00 am Stroke & Turn Meeting
8:10 am Team Announcements
8:15 am First Call: Clerk of Course, Timers & Recorders to their chairs for instructions
8:20 am Team Cheers and National Anthem
8:30 am Meet Begins
Order of Events : (once at Clerk of the Course, swimmers do NOT LEAVE)
1. Medley Relays (not at Time Trials)
2. Butterfly
3. Backstroke
4. Breaststroke
5. Freestyle
6. Free Relays (not at Time Trials)
–Medley relay participants will be announced at the rally Friday night.
–Free relay swimmers may change day of, based on current swimmer times.
–Events run from youngest age group to oldest.
–Girls begin each event (odd numbers) followed by the boys of the same age (even numbers).
FOOD : Cuda Cafe is open and ready to feed you!
–Please bring small bills if paying cash
–Square accepted.
